Data Breach Incident

Roblox announced late last week that it suffered a data breach impacting attendees of the 2022, 2023, and 2024 Roblox Developer Conference attendees. We recommend all attendees to stay vigilant and monitor their accounts for any suspicious activities.

Analytical Tools for Developers

Roblox has unveiled advanced analytical tools for developers. These new tools will help developers measure “qualified playthrough rates” and “qualified players,” providing benchmarks for comparing performance. More features will be available next week.

Roblox and BBC Team Up for UK Election Coverage

In an exciting digital partnership, Roblox and the BBC have teamed up for the UK General Election coverage. The BBC is bringing Larry the Downing Street Cat — iconic Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office and pet-in-residence at the official home of the UK Prime Minister — to Roblox for this election.

From “Discover” to “Charts”

In a controversial decision, Roblox has changed the name of the page where Roblox users find new Roblox games to play from “Discover” to “Charts”. Many Roblox players on Twitter are disagreeing with this decision, with some even creating Google extensions that automatically switch back the change for you.

Custom Avatar Heads

Roblox is working on a new feature where players can take a video of their heads, upload it to Roblox, which will then create a 3D head of the player who can then use it as their avatar’s head.

Bulk Purchasing In-Game

Roblox rolled out their new bulk purchasing API recently, allowing Roblox players to purchase multiple Marketplace avatar items at once inside experiences. This is already being utilized in avatar games such as Catalog Avatar Creator.

Roblox AI Data Sharing

Roblox has started to use every Roblox developer’s assets (games, avatar items) to train their new AI system. This can be toggled on or off in the developer setting tab.
